Had a fantastic experience in a spacious room with a lovely balcony view and an amazing breakfast spread that blew me away. The wellness center was my favorite with both a sauna and steam bath to help me unwind after a long day. Just wish the lighting in the room was a bit brighter, but it didn’t ruin my stay! 😊

We had a fantastic time at this charming spot! The spacious junior suite had a stunning view of the mountains, and the kids loved exploring the nearby trails we found. Breakfast was a highlight, especially the fresh pastries, making every morning delightful!
My kids wished there were more available child-friendly activities at the hotel.

Recommend it for adventurous couples
The staff was friendly and they let us check in super early which saved us a lot of hassle. The wellness area was well maintained and had some nice saunas, perfect for winding down after a long day outdoors.
It wasn’t exactly a bargain but it’s still acceptable considering the location.

The wellness area exceeded expectations, boasting two saunas and a steam room for some much-needed relaxation post-skiing. The breakfast spread offered an extensive variety, fueling up for a day on the slopes, and the location is conveniently close to ski lifts and numerous local amenities.
However, the hotel shows signs of being a bit dated, particularly in the bathrooms, and some fixtures could use a refresh. Temperature control in the rooms can be tricky, leading to chilly evenings if windows are opened. a bit more heat would improve comfort significantly. Also, the Wi-Fi connection leaves much to be desired, making it frustrating to stay connected when needed. With nearby bars, noise levels can spike in the evenings, which might be disruptive for those looking to catch a good night's sleep.

During my recent business trip, I stayed at Astoria and was thoroughly impressed by the staff's professionalism and attentiveness. The breakfast was exceptional, featuring freshly baked goods and a variety of selections that kept me energized for my meetings. My room was spacious, clean, and equipped with a lovely balcony, which provided wonderful views despite not facing the Matterhorn directly. The hotel's location was ideal for accessing local amenities and the surrounding area, making it convenient for work and leisure.
The bathroom could use some updates.

It was just a nice choice for getting around the area in Zermatt with good value. The corner room had beautiful views and was cozy. Try to get a corner room for extra space.

Oh man, the dining scene near Astoria is lit! Snagged some tasty cheese fondue at a local joint after a long hike—life-changing! Plus, the hotel breakfast spread had me buzzing every morning. The staff were ever-so-keen to refill my coffee! 🔥
And hot water playing hard to get late at night was a tad annoying, yet it was solid first thing in the morning!

The location of Hotel Astoria really impressed me. Just a few blocks from the main street and right near the ski lifts. The staff greeted me warmly upon arrival, which set a positive tone for my stay. I loved the cozy communal areas. My room had a lovely wrap-around balcony, providing great views, although it didn't face the Matterhorn directly. Snowy evenings made it feel very romantic. Breakfast offered a decent variety, though I wished for more options each day. The wellness center was a highlight, especially with the ladies-only hours that made it more comfortable. The room itself was clean and spacious, but the decor felt a bit outdated. I did encounter some issues with the heating system. it struggled to keep the space warm during colder nights. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, but addressing the decor and heating would elevate the experience.
